California Wildfires

There are currently no active wildfires near the LIVESTRONG Challenge course as fires are currently concentrated in Northern California (near Lake Tahoe) and South of the Bay Area (near Big Sur). The LIVESTRONG Challenge team will be monitoring the conditions closely and will advise all participants on any activity that would compromise the event.

The Bay Area Air District has lifted the health advisory that was in place last week due to high particulate levels from the Northern California wildfires. The Air District’s pollutant monitoring network now shows significantly decreased pollution levels in the Bay Area, which are in the healthy range. Barring any additional wildfires, air quality throughout Santa Clara county is forecasted to be good to moderate throughout 4^th of July weekend leading into LIVESTRONG Challenge on Sunday, July 13^th.
