POWER STOPS
Power Stops provide food, hydration and support, and are sponsored by local businesses and organizations that provide volunteers to staff the stop along with creating a fun theme to assist in making the event more enjoyable.
- 5K Course – Water will be available at a hydration Power Stop located mid-way through the course to keep you going strong to the finish line.
- Ride Courses - There are 10 Power Stops located every 10-15 miles along all courses and are put in place to provide on-course support during the event. Power Stops include food, water and isotonic beverages to ensure caloric and hydration needs are met throughout the event. To further ensure safety standards are met, medical and mechanical support will also be available at each Power Stop along with restroom facilities. Technical support is provided by Trek Bicycle Store of San Jose and medical support is provided by American Medical Response West.
- Sponsors of individual Power Stops include: The Wellness community - Silicon Valley, Sharks Ice, Ireland San Fillipo, Sports Basement, Ross Shaw, Fish & Richardson, Advanced Professionals, Massingham & Associates and Beta Sigma Phi. These sponsors provide volunteers and management of the individual stops. Please make sure to thank them for being involved!
The LIVESTRONG Challenge maintains a high standard for support – we encourage all riders to utilize the available support put in place to make your journey as safe as possible.
