Patrick Chatfield is an avid cyclist and longtime supporter of the LAF and LIVESTRONG Challenge events. Hailing from Seattle, Patrick has been a LSC participant since 2005 and a mentor since 2006, and enjoys providing fundraising, training and support for participants in the northwest. This year, Patrick will work closely with the LAF Events team to drive participation and volunteer recruitment for the Seattle Challenge. Patrick's energy (and wit...!?) and commitment to the LAF are inspired by the memory of his father, Ken Chatfield, who passed away in 1993 due to cancer, as well as all those people he has met through his association with the LAF who have been touched by cancer in their lives. |

Rip Scott | ![]() |
Rip became involved with the LAF in June of 2008, just 18 months after being diagnosed with stage 3 metastatic head and neck cancer and less than one year removed from treatment. Blessed by the love and support of incredible friends, he raised over $50,000 for the LIVESTRONG Philly event, earning Yellow Jersey honors in the Ride for the Roses. He is an avid cyclist of 30 plus years and co-founded the Scott Bikyle Flyers professional cycling team. As a first year mentor, he is committed to inspiring others to set aggressive fundraising objectives and to surpass those goals as we fight back against cancer. Rip resides in Newtown Square, PA with his four children, Carrie (22), Steve (19), Abbie (15) and Charlie (12). They are his inspiration in beating cancer and in doing all he can to be certain they never experience a cancer diagnosis. |

Russ Dudley |
After being diagnosed with cancer almost 3 years ago, Russ discovered the LAF and found that the stories on livestrong.org inspired him. He finished his degree, started running, bought a bike and looked for ways to get more involved with the cancer community. This year marks his third LIVESTRONG Challenge and you can bet that he’s fired up about it! Russ is looking forward to training for the ride, figuring out creative ways to fundraise and spreading the excitement of the event to others. |

Christine Hornbeek | ![]() |
Chris is a 15 year non-Hodgkins lymphoma survivor. She has participated in Ride for the Roses and the LIVESTRONG Challenge since 2001 when she first started riding. Since then she has followed the Tour de France twice and has ridden Alpd'Huez among others in the Pyrenees and the Alps. Last year she challenged her friends and family to donate to the LAF as she challenged herself to ride Mount Washington, the highest peak east of the Mississippi and known for the worst weather in the US. The end result was a ride through hail, wind and rain and more than $10,000 raised! Chris is an active member of Cyclists Combating Cancer and as a first year mentor she is looking forward to meeting participants and helping everyone reach their goals. |

Henrike Hirsch |
Henrike is a 31 year old two-time survivor of what she likes to call the "little c." In addition, many of her family members have also battled the disease, so she started fundraising for the LAF six years ago as "(her) way of kicking cancer's butt!" She is honored to be the International Mentor for the LIVESTRONG Challenge for the fourth year now and can't wait to get to know everyone. |
