Whether forging independence, making a major medical breakthrough or pushing the game into overtime. Philadelphians know a thing or two about putting up a fight (plus it takes major guts to eat scrapple.) But now more than ever, we need to unite and pick a fight with cancer.

On August 24, the people of Philadelphia and its surrounding communities will descend on Montgomery County Community College in Blue Bell, to take the LIVESTRONG Challenge, the Lance Armstrong Foundation's signature fundraising event. For the third consecutive year, our 5K Run/Walk and 10, 40, 70 and 100-mile rides will raise money and awareness to inspire and empower the nearly 12 million Americans living with cancer.
