In addition to being sunny and outdoorsy, high-tech and culturally rich, San Jose is consistently ranked among our country's most safe and livable cities. But just because it's safe, doesn't mean it won't pick a fight- -especially when it comes to cancer.

On July 13, the people of San Jose and its surrounding communities will descend on the Festival Area at Almaden and Park to take its first-ever LIVESTRONG Challenge, the Lance Armstrong Foundation's signature fundraising event. Our 5K Run/Walk and 10, 50, 65, and 100-mile rides will raise money and awareness to inspire and empower the nearly 12 million Americans affected by cancer.
